To be eligible, students must complete a minimum of 12 letter-graded units with no incomplete grades, no grade lower than “C” and be in good standing.
Alpha Lambda Honors Society
FALL 2019-PRESENT
The purpose of the Society shall be to encourage superior academic achievement among students in their first year in institutions of higher education, to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society.
Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center- McNair Scholar
SPRING 2022-PRESENT
The McNair Scholars Program is embedded within the UROC Scholars program and prepares academically-talented and motivated CSUMB undergraduates from all majors for doctoral level studies via engagement in research and other scholarly activities that support the successful transition to graduate programs.

McNair Scholar
SPRING 2021- PRESENT
The McNair Scholars Program is supported by the Department of Education and established in memory of Dr. Ronald E. McNair, a physicist and NASA astronaut who served on the Challenger space shuttle. It is aimed from First-generation and Low-income students that prepares academically-talented and motivated CSUMB undergraduates from all majors for doctoral level studies via engagement in research and other scholarly activities that support the successful transition to graduate programs.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center

UROC engages students of all majors in undergraduate research to build students’ educational ownership, intellectual vibrancy, and scholarly identity. We achieve this through mentored undergraduate research; rigorous, authentic, and calibrated scholarly activities; and the development of social capital.
